Talitha primarily paints in oils, although loves to experiment and create with all different media. She began painting still lives in a shed in her garden during the lockdowns and found she particularly enjoyed exploring the interactions between shapes and observing colour contrasts, shadows and reflections. Having then discovered painting “en plein air”, she has also been focusing on landscapes around Suffolk, France and even Spain, exploring a similar approach to shape and colours.
Talitha has a BA in History of Art, but always loved drawing and painting at school, so after a long break from the arts, working mostly in the corporate world and then bringing up her three children, in 2017 she joined a weekly life painting class. This quickly reignited her love of working in oil paint. Since then Talitha's journey has included a number of Royal Drawing School courses, some plein air workshops and she has exhibited and sold her work at five exhibitions, including the Ipswich Art Society “Small Works” Exhibition, October 2024 and the “Inspired by Benton End” project and exhibition, with seven other Suffolk artists, October 2024 - April 2025.
